Tax Preparation and Filing for Southern California

Accurate, on-time federal and California state tax return preparation by a licensed CPA for individuals, families, and businesses across Southern California. Every deduction found. No surprises at filing.

A CPA-prepared return is not the same as a software-generated return. Alex reviews every return personally before filing — catching issues that automated tools miss, applying every deduction you are entitled to, and flagging year-over-year changes that warrant a conversation before they become problems. Our focus is on returns where a licensed CPA's judgment genuinely matters: rental properties, business income, K-1s, stock compensation, multi-state filing, and returns with real planning opportunities embedded in the numbers. Simple W-2-only returns are referred to our trusted partner network.

What Is Included

Tax Preparation and Filing — What We Handle

Business Returns

S-Corp (1120-S), C-Corp (1120), and Partnership (1065) return preparation with California FTB state returns, multi-entity coordination, and full consistency across all related filings.

Deduction Maximization

We review your situation before preparing the return — not just entering numbers — to ensure every applicable deduction is claimed and every planning opportunity from the prior year is identified.

Document Deadline Schedule

February 15: standard rate. February 16 – March 15: 15% rush surcharge. After March 15: extension filed. Extension clients have an August 1 deadline for October 15 filing.

Common Questions

FAQ

We prepare S-Corp (Form 1120-S), C-Corp (Form 1120), and Partnership (Form 1065) returns with corresponding California FTB state returns. For individual clients, we handle complex Form 1040s with Schedules C, D, E, and K-1s — including multi-entity returns filed across all related entities. Simple W-2-only returns without complexity are referred to our partner network.
Documents received after March 15 go on extension — the return is filed by October 15. There is no penalty for filing on extension as long as any tax owed is estimated and paid by April 15. Extension clients have an August 1 document deadline for October 15 filing. A 15% rush surcharge applies to documents received February 16 through March 15 for April 15 filing.
Questions after filing, CP notices, and IRS information requests received within the same tax year are handled as part of the engagement at no additional charge. We respond to IRS correspondence, track resolution, and keep you informed throughout.
